Itinerary

  • Your private driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi and begin the journey to the countryside craft villages outside the city.
  • Explore one of Vietnam’s most famous incense-producing villages where locals have been crafting incense for over 100 years. Walk through the village and observe the full incense-making process, from bamboo splitting and dyeing to drying the colorful bundles of incense sticks. This village is also one of the most photogenic cultural spots near Hanoi.
  • Visit a family workshop where artisans prepare and dye incense sticks. Learn about the daily life of local craftsmen and how this traditional industry supports generations of families.
  • Travel to Chuông Village, which has been producing traditional Vietnamese Non La (conical hats) for more than 300 years. Observe the detailed process of assembling bamboo frames, layering palm leaves, and sewing the hats by hand.
  • Guests will have the opportunity to decorate or draw on a conical hat and take it home as a souvenir.
  • After visiting the villages, return to Hanoi city center. Drop-off at your hotel or optionally at Hanoi Train Street if requested.

  1. 10/10 worth a tour!

This tour was brilliant. We were asked to move to the afternoon which wasn’t a problem. We also got offered food on the tour which we took up and it was delicious. So so nice i recommend. The insence tour was brilliant and they took lots of pictures for us like professionals. We also got to paint hats and iron our own material. I really enjoyed this tour one of the best we have done so far.
The tour was 6 hours from pick up to drop off, there was about 10 of us in the group. It was suitable for all in my opinion with the painting being fun for kids and the guides were so welcoming and friendly and funny. Including the driver. Loved it 10/10
